July 4th in Harbor Springs is a Classic

For many residents and visitors to Harbor Springs, July 4th is the best day of the year. People come from all over the world to celebrate this special holiday in Harbor Springs. It is quite simply, a celebration like none other.

What makes it special? The gorgeous setting along the water, an art fair, fabulous parade, fun run along the waterfront, street vendors, dog look alike contest, and fireworks shot from a barge on the water all contribute to an extraordinary day.

Downtown Harbor Springs is the place to be! The day begins with the Paul Revere Run at 8am. The American Legion breakfast is from 8am-1pm The annual Art Fair in Zorn Park July 4th takes place 9am-5pm. The Methodist Church parking lot turns in a picnic spot from 11am-3:30pm with a cookout.

The July 4th parade begins at 1pm. This parade draws thousands of watchers who line Main and Bay Streets 6 and 7 people deep to see, and cheer for, the entries.

At 3pm, the Young Americans will perform at the corner of Main and Judd Streets. On the waterfront from 4-6pm, enjoy music and a beer tent--Red, White and Brew.

When dusk begins to settle, around 10:15pm, the fireworks begin. Great viewing spots can be found near Ottawa Stadium or at one of the city beaches.

8:15am Paul Revere Fun Run Start (The Depot Club)
8-11am American Legion Breakfast (3rd St.)
9am-5pm Art in the Park (Zorn Park)

1pm Parade (Main St., State St. & Bay St.)
3pm Young Americans perform, Shay Park (Main St. & Judd St.)
10pm Fireworks over the Harbor
